Welcome to The Friends Of St Lawrence Church Rowhedge website.
Take a look around our site, and hopefully you will find something of interest. We have events coming up for you to consider joining in with, as well as recent and past events to review. Our aim as 'friends' is to raise funds in support of the fabric of the building – and what a building it is! Eight-sided structures are unusual, Eight-sided places of worship even more so.

Check out our 'what's on' page to find out what events we will be organizing soon.

Visit our 'previous events' page to see what we've already been up to.

Hire the Church

Need a great place to hold an event? Need a workshop? A meeting place? A recording studio with fantastic acoustics? Get in touch – using the form on the contact us page. We'd love to hear from you. You can listen to the local Pistols & Vultures group on YouTube recorded at the church.

Support us

We're a non-profit organization, dependent on donations and income from events to be able to pay for our administrative expenses and projects. We need as many volunteers as we can get. You can get in touch with us on the contact us page or give John Sharp our chairman a call on +44(0)1206 728272.

Your support does not have to be just in cash or in kind! To make a constructive difference to the fabric of the church building, inside and outside and to the church grounds, we need not only donations but also hands willing to help with the work.

We would also love to partner with local businesses – please contact us using the form on the contact us page.

We are committed to Safeguarding children and young people and vulnerable adults. The PCC has adopted the Church of England’s policies and best practice on safeguarding which may be found on the Church of England’s website:
